Do you all remember during the elections we were promised "change we can believe in"?
Well, let's look at what we got. The upside is- we finally elected a black-white-arab-American. Toodles for us! Americans will impress me more when the color of skin, or the gender of the president isn't remarked on.
The downside is, we elected the ultimate tax and spend radical liberal we could find. Congrats America. One overly boring, yet determined look at the 1.10mb, 647 page @130% pdf file of the "stimulus" package reveals that pretty damn quick. Funny how Pelosi & Co. breeze on by explaining this package.
This isn't a stimulus package folks- it's a social spending package, pure and simple. It's also the largest social package in the history of our country. It also has damn little to do with actually stimulating the economy. The only way this package will increase jobs is by hiring ridiculous numbers of new federal employees, which is already happening.
We've also pumped a record amount of cash into the system. The presses are running three shifts, printing money in obscene amounts.
Why is this relevent?
Given the state of the economy, (in the toilet), the half a million jobs being lost monthly, record amounts of cash being printed and put in circulation- we're looking at run away inflation on top of record unemployment within 24 months.
That's the change you voted for America,,,or at least 52% of you.
