Tom Daschle is merely a symptom of what is wrong with our government. It's also interesting to note that despite his tax arrears he paid, there were no associated interest and penalties.
You know as well as I do, that if the common taxpayer fumbled his taxes, the IRS would take everything that wasn't nailed down.
I begin to understand why it is that the Democrats don't have a problem with the trillion dollar spending bill-- they don't bother with paying their taxes. How many of Obama's cabinet picks now have had tax issues??
I do however have a solution for you Mr. President-- let those who want this package also pay for it. I bet the enthusiasm for it very very quickly dries up.
